‘Below the Surface’
Abstract, geometric oil painting on canvas with hues of brown, deep orange and black. Exploring the notion of layers, directional dimension and what is happening under the earths surface. The veins of ground roots intertwined - exploring generational pathways and life times. The surface subject of this painting is inspired by the Birds of Paradise flower created in a geometric design capturing sharp triangular angles in a multi-directional layout. Projecting earthy and raw elements identifying themes of nature influenced by bark, soil and what growth occurs under the land we stand on.
